Church Closure

Effective March 15, 2020

Our worship gathering is suspended until further notice.

The children and teachers of our Early Childhood Center (ECC) will not be attending school as they are following the District 12 guidelines of an extended Spring Break from March 16th through March 27th with a tentative return on March 30th..

To provide for spiritual refreshment we will record a video devotion with music, scripture, and meditation, which can be viewed by going to our YouTube link:

Message from Reverend Debra Wacker:

Dear Church,

It is with a very heavy heart that I am now cancelling both worship services at Northglenn United Methodist on Sunday, March 15, 2020, until further notice.

Last evening, after our News Blast went out, Bishop Karen Oliveto sent an email strongly recommending the suspension of Worship Services in response to the Coronavirus Outbreak.

To provide for spiritual refreshment we will record a video devotion with music, scripture, and meditation.

To adjust our giving and be creative/innovative about how we can help our community deal with the economic crisis this will lead to. Incomes will suffer and families will need help.  Our children will need meals, as will the elderly, who are being encouraged to stay home and may need someone to get groceries for them.  Can you be on call for any of these services? Perhaps, one way is preparing food boxes and having those available for those in need?

Bishop Karen used a quote from Teresa of Avila, which partners us with all of humanity and encourages us to be the best we can be under any circumstance.  “Christ has no body now but yours.  No hands, no feet on earth but yours.  Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world.  Yours are the feet with which, he walks to do good.  Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world.  Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body.  Christ has no body now on earth but yours.” – Teresa of Avila

May God keep you healthy and strong, may you spend time in prayer and know that you are not alone.

In Love, Rev. Deb
