Our Missions

Food Drive Collections

Northglenn United Methodist Church partners with Good Shepherd Presbyterian Food Bank and Growing Home of Denver Metro to provide non-perishable food, toiletries, and other essential items to families in need.  We hold multiple drives throughout the year to provide these much needed items to these organizations, as well as other local food banks.

On Sunday, May 5, 2019 Rev. Dr. Don Messer appealed to us on behalf of 250 orphans in Africa, who are afflicted with AIDS. He celebrated with us the 35 kids we supported last year. That's $7,000.00 from Northglenn UMC.  WE REACHED OUR GOAL OF $8,000+.  What a ministry we have!  I would not only like to challenge us to support those kids again, but to increase the number to 40.  Forty children able to receive support from us, as they live each day with AIDS.

KING SOOPERS

Fight Hunger Bag Program

We are excited to share that King Soopers selected Northglenn UMC to benefit from the Fight Hunger bag program throughout August & September 2025. Designed in alignment with King Soopers’ Zero Hunger | Zero Waste initiative, the Fight Hunger bag program makes it easy for shoppers to support local hunger relief organizations by simply purchasing a reusable Fight Hunger bag!

For the months of August & September, every time a $2.50 reusable Fight Hunger bag is purchased at the King Soopers located at 10351 Federal Blvd., Westminster, $1 will be donated to NUMC.We are thrilled to have this opportunity to broaden awareness of our mission and raise donations for our cause.

Let’s get started!

Share the news with your friends and family. Call, send emails, and post on social media. The more people who purchase the Fight Hunger bag in August & September, the greater the donation we will receive from King Soopers!

Northglenn UMC collects and distributes pounds and pounds of peanut butter to the food bank at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Northglenn.

Cuddle Makers make small quilts, lap robes, and bears.  We donate all of them to hospitals, nursing homes, and victim advocacy centers.
